SAQA Creative Force | |
"Messier 16" which was accepted into Studio Artist's Quilt Assoc. traveling show and catalog titled: Creative Force: The Best of SAQA continues to travel until June 2012. It is currently scheduled to be in Chicago, Illinois until the end of April; then goes to Long Beach, California in July 2011; next it will by at the Ohio Craft Museum, Columbus, Ohio, September 11, 2011 - October 30, 2011; and finally at Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings, Montana, March 22 - June 10, 2012

"Empyrean" returned and is now hanging in my studio at Artspace | |
"Empyrean" which was accepted from 500 entries for the 10th Quilt Nihon Exhibition and was shown at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum in Tokyo, Japan in February 2010 where it won an Honorable Mention and traveled with the other award winning pieces to Nagoya Takashimaya in JR Nagoya, Japan, then to the 16th European Patchwork Meeting, France and the16th International Competition, Berceau du mouvement Amish
Ste Marie-aux-Mines, Alsace France, September, 16th - 19th 2010 then in Nov12 through Nov14 2010 to the World Quilt and Handicrafts Art Fair in Shanghai, China . Then it continued to travel to two cities in Taiwan
from the 14th of April to the 25th in Kaohsiung and the 28th of April until the 22nd of May to Taichung.

Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, Niche Award Baltimore Maryland and AQS Knoxville TN | |
Elephants Trunk Nebula which received a 3rd place award in the Galaxy of Stars category at the American Quilters Society show in Knoxville 2010, has gone on in 2011 to win a Niche Award in Baltimore, Maryland; and an Honorable Mention at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton Virginia. It will stay in my studio for a while resting.
